The 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD is a heavy duty truck sold in four grades, two box lengths, two cab layouts, single or dual rear wheel configurations, rear- or four-wheel drive, and two engine choices. A larger, more capable 3500HD model is also available.
The 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD is available with either a 6.0-liter V-8 producing 360 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque or a 6.6-liter turbocharged diesel V-8 making 397 hp and 765 lb-ft of torque paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. However, the diesel engine is a $7,150 premium over the gas-powered variant. V-8-equipped trucks are able to run on CNG while diesel models are able to run biodiesel. Maximum towing capacity is ranges from 7,222 to 23,100 pounds.
Inside, the 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD has a well-equipped cabin geared toward functionality with generous storage space for small items. Features such as mobile wi-fi, USB connectivity, Bluetooth, navigation, charging points for portable devices, dual zone climate control, satellite radio, heated leather seats, and a rear seat entertainment system make the truck’s interior more livable and upscale.
