2013 Rolls Royce Ghost Review

(0 Stars)  It may be the "baby" Rolls, but it’s still fabulous.

New For 2013
The Ghost receives a few equipment updates. The night-vision system now precharges the brakes if it detects a pedestrian in the car’s path. The Comfort Access Package adds Smart Boot Opener, which pops the trunk when the owner waves his or her foot under the rear bumper. The engine has been reprogrammed for a minor reduction in emissions.
The smallest and most affordable Rolls-Royce, the Ghost, receives a handful of equipment updates this year. The cabin can now be adorned in the extra-soft natural-grain leather that was previously only in the Rolls-Royce Phantom. Owners can now open the trunk simply by waving a foot under the rear bumper; the night-vision system precharges the brakes if it detects an imminent pedestrian collision; and there are two new paint colors. The Ghost is one of the most beautiful and detailed cars in the world. The imposing front grille, rectangular headlights, and requisite flying-lady hood ornament lead into a bulging sedan shape. The rear suicide doors open as much as 83 degrees (89 degrees on Ghost Extended Wheelbase models) to facilitate entry into the expansive and sumptuous interior. It’s hard to find fault with the real chrome accents, the art-deco-style gauges, and the modern gadgets such as a navigation system. The Ghost’s interior is vaultlike in its insulation from noise and road imperfections. The impressive level of quality is due to the fact that the car is assembled by hand in England: it takes twenty days to build a Ghost. This is one of the most fabulous vehicles on sale today, from behind the wheel and in the chauffeur-driven back seat.
