Vehicle Summary

Priced below the excellent family of Ferrari 458s, the California was the last Ferrari available with a fully manual gearbox. The four-place retractable-hardtop convertible lost the manual a year ago, when it also earned the "30" designation, which means it got thirty extra horsepower while losing thirty kilograms of mass, or sixty-six pounds, with replacement of some steel parts with aluminum. The result is a 3.8-second 0-to-60-mph time.

If you'd like your "relaxed" Ferrari to be just a bit closer to the 458 ideal, order the $7227 Handling Speciale Package, which adds magnetorheological dampers and other chassis upgrades. The retractable hard top drops in fourteen seconds and leaves enough trunk space for two rollaway bags or one golf bag. You can replace the finished cargo shelf behind the front seats with two very small rear seats.
