2013 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen

2013 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen Review

(4 Stars)

Reviewed by Automobile Magazine on

The 2013 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen continues on relatively unchanged from the previous model year, even though the Jetta sedan was redesigned for the 2011 model. While some may want the Jetta SportWagen to be upgraded, one complaint about the new Jetta Sedan was the change in chassis that accompanied the redesign. The 2013 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen continues to be built on the same chassis as the Volkswagen Golf, and acts as the link between the Golf and the Tiguan in the Volkswagen lineup.

There are two different engines and three trim lines to choose from for the 2013 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen. The S and SE models are powered by a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that runs on regular gas, while the TDI model is equipped with a diesel 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine. With seating for up to five passengers, and a good sized cargo area, the 2013 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen provides an alternative for those who want to get away from the crossover SUV models.
