What's New for 370Z in 2013

The 2013 Nissan 370Z’s mild face-lift includes a new front fascia, LED running lights, and new eighteen- and nineteen-inch wheel designs. The sport package gains red-painted brake calipers and retuned shock absorbers. Midnight blue and magma red join the color palette. To improve stopping performance, the 2013 370Z gets stronger brake hoses and performance-grade brake fluid...more

The Nissan 370Z was clearly created for driving pleasure first and for daily driving second. The stiff suspension, strong brakes, and throaty engine are all designed to please enthusiasts, but those traits might make the 370Z too hard-edged for everyday drivers. The ride can be harsh, and the 332-hp V-6 sounds loud and unrefined when pushed. A six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic transmission directs all that power to the rear wheels. Cars with the manual gearbox and the sport package have SynchroRev Match, a cool feature that automatically blips the throttle when the driver selects a lower gear. It makes sporty driving easy for those who struggle with heel-and-toe downshifting and can be disabled. Cars with the automatic transmission have steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles. Coupe and convertible body styles are available, the latter with a fabric top that retracts in about twenty seconds. Storage beneath the coupe’s glass liftgate is cramped, and the convertible has an even smaller trunk. Fortunately, the interior has several storage cubbies. Buyers seeking even more performance can opt for the NISMO model, which uses a reprogrammed engine computer and louder exhaust to extract 350 hp from the V-6. Available only as a coupe with a manual transmission, the NISMO has stiffer springs and dampers.

Standard features include front, side, and side curtain air bags; traction and stability control; ABS with brake assist; and a tire-pressure monitoring system.
