2011 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class

2011 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class Review

(3 Stars)  Off-road looks -- but it doesn't like dirt

The GLK is one of Mercedes newer models and will be competing in the mid sized SUV category. This places it in the sights of models such as the BMW X3, Audi's Q5, and the RDX from Acura. A tough croud to be stacked up against, but he GLK brings a great deal to the table. It's the smallest SUV Mercedes makes, though some of its' style is taken from its larger brethren. While more at home on road than off, the GLK offers a good fit for even four adults in everyday motoring.

It is offered in two forms. The GLK 350, a rear wheel drive variant with a 268 HP 3.5 liter V-6 that sends power through a 7 speed automatic transmission. The 4matic version offers the same power train with the addition of all wheels drive.

The GLK's come with an impressive list of standard features including dual zone climate control; power everything and an 8 speaker stereo system. The options are even more impressive. From a panoramic sunroof and navigation to surround sound and full leather seating.
