2011 Lexus LS460

2011 Lexus LS460 Review

(3 Stars)  It's good—but everything else got better

Reviewed by Automobile Magazine on

The Lexus LS 460 is the company's largest sedan. This competes with the top end luxury cars of Germanys top car makers. In this ultra competitive class of vehicles, excellent styling, posh interiors, and powerful engines are required for consideration. The LS series has all of these. Add to this that Lexus has always been the brand to beat on cabin quietness and the LS continues this trend.

The LS carved out a portion of this segment for itself. This starts with the fact the materials used in the car are of the highest quality. It trades some athleticism comfort and offers class leading value. For that Value you get some top tier standard features, such as a 10 speaker stereo, a 16 way adjustable driver's seat, and heated steering wheel. Advanced parking guidance and navigation highlight the big Lexus' technology list.

Power for this luxury machine comes from a 380 hp 4.6 liter aluminum V-8. This is mated to a 8 speed automatic transmission and delivers its power to the ground through 19" wheels. Its air suspension system keeps body motions in check.
