2010 Jeep Commander

2010 Jeep Commander Review

(3 Stars)  Get them while they're still around

Reviewed by Automobile Magazine on

The Jeep commander has only been around since its launch in 2005 and is easily the largest Jeep in the lineup to date. The Commander is a very rugged jeep from the looks to the engine. The Commander takes everything that the public loves about Jeep and amplifies it. This Jeep is a larger version of the Jeep Cherokee and brings some serious power to the standard Grand Cherokee platform. With a very nice interior offering many extras and a very luxurious attention to detail, the Commander is competitive with other full size SUVs like the Navigator and Escalade.

The Commander offers big performance and power, but it still is able to offer a reasonable amount of fuel economy with 20 mpg on the highway. The interior seating could offer more leg and head room, but does offer headed seats and some other luxury accommodations that more than make up for where it lacks. The Commander base models start around $30,000 and the fully equipped model can cost over $40,000. The Commander offers a high amount of value at its price level.
